Dr. Bell Holleran graduated in 2016. Her dissertation, titled "Future Dangerouness in Texas Death Penalty: A Content Analysis," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is an Assistant Professor at St. Edward's University.

Dr. Berry graduated in 2021. HIs dissertation was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. He is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University - Central Texas.

Dr. Boehm graduated in 2013. His dissertation, titled "Exploring the Process of Desistance in Two High Risk Probation Populations," was supervised by Dr. Jocelyn Pollock. He is an Associate Professor at Texas Lutheran University.

Dr. Bracewell graduated in 2015. Her dissertation, titled "Children's Advocacy Centers' Effect on the Prosecutorial Decision to Accept or Reject Cases of Child Sexual Abuse," was supervised by Dr. Brian Withrow. She is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University - Central Texas.

Dr. Carey graduated in 2017. His dissertation, titled "Toward an Episodic Process of Corruption: An analysis of the State Integrity risk assessment tool," was supervised by Dr. Marcus Felson. He is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M International University.

Dr. Carreon graduated in 2019. She is the Director of Criminal Justice for the non-profit organization Texas Appleseed. 

Dr. Casagrande graduated in 2024. Her dissertation, “Who’s got it worse? Comparing incarcerated persons’ experiences of psychological distress symptoms in jails and prisons,” was supervised by Dr. Donna Vandiver. She is an assistant professor at Colorado Mesa University. 

Dr. Cox-Hernandez graduated in 2016. Her dissertation was supervised by Dr. Joycelyn Pollock. She is Vice President of Student Success at San Antonio College. 

Dr. Cunningham graduated in 2016. Her dissertation, "Defense Attorneys' Perceptions of Prosecutorial Misconduct," was supervised by Dr. Joycelyn Pollock. She is an Assistant Professor in Residence at Bradley University.

Dr. Denney graduated in 2022. His dissertation, "The Legitimacy of Police and Courts Around the World," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. He is now an Assistant Professor at West Texas A&M University. 

Dr. Doyle graduated in 2024. Her dissertation, "Exploring Public Responses to
Active Shooter Events," was supervised by Dr. J. Pete Blair.

Dr. Dinkins graduated in 2023. Their dissertation, “Measurement of Rape Myth Acceptance and Juror Decision-Making Regarding Internet-Facilitated Rape,” was supervised by Dr. Shayne Jones. 

Dr. Elliott graduated in 2024. His dissertation, “Surviving the Badge: A Self-Assessment of Retired Law Enforcement Officer Stress, Coping, and the Impact of a Career Walking the Thin Blue Line,” was supervised by Dr. Scott Bowman. 

Dr. Elsass graduated in 2015. Her dissertation, "Juvenile delinquency outliers: An analysis of high-rate offenders and pure conformists," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is an Associate Professor of Instruction and the Internship Program Coordinator for our School at Texas State University.

Dr. Fenimore graduated in 2020. Her dissertation, "Investigating the Spatiotemporal Distribution and Environmental Risk Factors of Harm-Weighted Crime," was supervised by Dr. Wes Jennings. She is a Research Associate at the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF). 

Dr. Fernandez graduated in 2022. Her dissertation, "The Impact of Parental Incarceration on Adolescent Offending" was supervised by Dr. Shayne Jones. She is now an Assistant Professor at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.

Dr. Fritz graduated in 2024. His dissertation, “Spatial patterns of catalytic converter theft: Testing routine activities and social disorganization on highly mobile, “pop-up” theft” was supervised by Dr. Christine Sellers.

Dr. Ghosh graduated in 2023. His dissertation, "The cumulative effect of criminogenic facilities on street segments: A replication of Groff & Lockwood's (2014) study" was supervised by Dr. Lucia Summers.

Dr. Glassner graduated in 2015. His dissertation, "Evaluating Traumatic Life Events: An Assessment of the Health and Delinquent Outcomes of Youth Exposed to Trauma," was supervised by Dr. Joycelyn Pollock. He is an Associate Professor at Tarleton State University.

Dr. Gonçalves graduated in 2024. His dissertation, "An Assessment of the Effects of Covid-19 Stay-At-Home Orders on Street and Cybercrimes in a Brazilian City," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford.

Dr. Grant graduated in 2013. Her dissertation, titled "A Test of Self-Control in a Mexican-American Sample," was chaired Dr. Beth Sanders. She is an Associate Professor at Washburn University.

Dr. Greenwood graduated in 2016. Her dissertation, "Juvenile Probation Officer Stress and Organizational Commitment," was supervised by Dr. Joycelyn Pollock. She is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University - Central Texas.

Dr. Jennings graduated in 2014. His dissertation was supervised by Dr. Brian Withrow. He is an associate professor at Lincoln Memorial University.

Dr. Kim graduated in 2014. His dissertation, "Student Perceptions of School Resource Officers (SROs)," was supervised by Dr. Brian Withrow. He is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University - Kingsville.

Dr. Kringen graduated in 2014. HIs dissertation, titled "Validating a Bayesian Model for Linking Serial Crimes through Simulation," was supervised by Dr. Kim Rossmo.

Dr. Leverenz graduated in 2019. His dissertation, "A Tale of Four Cities: Evaluating the Impact of Assessment Centers on Police Promotion Processes by Rank, Sex, and Race," was supervised by Dr. Christine Sellers.

Dr. Kringen graduated in 2014. Her dissertation, "Understanding Barriers that Affect Recruiting and Retaining Female Police Officers: A Mixed Method Approach," was supervised by Dr. Joycelyn Kringen.

Dr. Lopez-Smith graduated in 2015. Her dissertation, "Generational Status and Hispanic Victimization: An Examination of Mediating Influences," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is an Associated Professor at the University of North Florida.

Dr. Martaindale graduated in 2016. His dissertation, "Examining the efficacy of computer-based visual training to improve the speed and accuracy of weapon acquisition in a dynamic use of force scenario," was supervised by Dr. Pete Blair. He is the Director of Research at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center at Texas State University, and a Research Associate Professor in our School.

Dr. Martinez-Prather graduated in 2020. Her dissertation, "Texas Disciplinary Alternative Education Programs: An Empirical Basis for Effective Practices and Support Systems," was supervised by Dr. Christine Sellers. She is the Director of the Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) at Texas State University.

Dr. McDowell graduated in 2022. Her dissertation, "Social Disorganization Theory, Gentrification, and Intimate Partner Violence in Austin, Texas," was supervised by Dr. Bob Edward Vasquez. She is now an Assistant Professor at Wayne State College. 

Dr. McKenna graduated in 2016. His dissertation, "Examining the Use of Police in Schools: How Roles and Training May Impact the School-to-Prison Pipeline," was supervised by Dr. Joycelyn Pollock. He is the Vice President of Threat Detection and Prevention Program Development at Navigate360. 

Dr. Mueller graduated in 2019. His dissertation was supervised by Dr. Scott Bowman. He is a Research Analyst for the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department in Houston, TX. 

Dr. Noh graduated in 2019. His dissertation, "Relevance of routine activity variables for understanding the spatial distribution of residential burglary and general outdoor assault in Dongjak District in Seoul, South Korea," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ulsan in South Korea. 

Dr. Quiñones graduated in 2013. She was the very first graduate of the doctoral program. Her dissertation, titled "Factors That Influence Perceptions of Racial Profiling During Police/Motorist Interactions," was supervised by Dr. Brian Withrow. She is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University-Central Texas.

Dr. Reinhard graduated in 2022. His dissertation, "A Varied Spatial and Temporal Examination of Vacation Home Rentals and Crime," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. He is now the Chief Data Analyst for the Boulder Police Department.

Dr. Reyes graduated in 2017. His dissertation, "“The Impact of Conducted Energy Device Policies on Citizen Complaints Against The Police" was supervised by Drs. Brian Withrow and Christine Sellers. Dr. Reyes is a Commander in the San Antonio Police Department and a lecturer at the University of the Incarnate Word.

Dr. Reynolds graduated in 2015. His dissertation, titled "The impact of fairness, organizational trust, and perceived organizational support on police officer performance" was supervised by Dr. Jocelyn Pollock. He is an Associate Professor at the University of North Texas at Dallas, and the Director of Research of the Caruth Police Institute. 

Dr. Rogers graduated in 2023. Her dissertation, "An Analysis of Online Wildlife Trade: A Situational Crime Prevention Approach," was supervised by Dr. Lucia Summers. 

Dr. Rothstein graduated in 2020. His dissertation, "Temporal Patterns for Burglar Alarms and Police-Coded Burglaries," was supervised by Dr. Marcus Felson. He is an IT Business Analyst in the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts for the State of Texas. 

Dr. Sandel graduated in 2019. His dissertation, titled "Perceptions of Police Use of Force: A Comparison Between Citizens and Police Officers" was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. He is an Associate Professor and the Assistant School Director at Missouri State University.

Dr. Schildkraut graduated in 2014. Her dissertation, titled "Mass Murder and the Mass Media: An Examination of the Media Discourse on U.S. Rampage Shootings, 2000-2012" was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. Dr. Schildkraut is the Executive Director of the Regional Gun Violence Research Consortium at the Rockefeller Institute of Government, and an Associate Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego.

Dr. Scott graduated in 2013. Her dissertation, titled "An Examination of Frame of Reference and Self-Control in Alcohol and Drug Addicts," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi.

Dr. Shaw graduated in 2022. Her dissertation was supervised by Dr. Donna Vandiver. She is now an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law.

Dr. Spivey graduated in 2024. Her dissertation, "Shades of Stigma: Assessing the Impact of Intersectional Stigma for Women With a Criminal Record," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University.

Dr. Terranova graduated in 2016. Her dissertation, titled "Evaluation of Alcohol Monitoring Technology’s Impact on Recidivism" was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Northern Colorado.

Dr. Tititampruk graduated in 2016. Her dissertation, titled "Offender's Decision Making: An Assessment of Convicted Burglars in Thailand" was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. She is a Senior Lecturer at Mahidol University in Thailand. 

Dr. Vaughan graduated in 2017. His dissertation, titled "Investigating the Self-Control - Neighborhood Disadvantage Interaction: Theoretical, Measurement, and Analytical Issues," was supervised by Dr. Mark Stafford. He is now an Assistant Professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato. 

Dr. Walker graduated in 2019. Her dissertation, titled “Intimate partner violence: An in-depth analysis of context and dynamics,” was supervised by Dr. Christine Sellers. She is an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) Delhi.

Dr. Williams graduated in 2013. Prior to this, Dr. Williams was a career police officer, having served 25 years with the Austin Police Department and 11 years as the Chief of Police in San Marcos, TX. His dissertation, titled "Physiological Attributes of Arrest-Related Sudden Deaths Proximate to the Application of TASER Electronic Control Devices: An Evidence Based Study of the Theory," was supervised by committee members Dr. Jocelyn Pollock. Dr. Williams is now a Lecturer in our School at Texas State University.
